How do I merge my hosting accounts?

Sometimes you want to consolidate existing hosting accounts into one larger one. For instance, if you had a few Cocktail plans you want to combine into a Frankfurter plan. Frankfurter accounts share your sites on one server, so there are a couple points to consider:

• Disk Space - depending on your plans, you may decrease the available space.

• Security - when you combine sites, if one site gets hit by a phishing, illegal use, etc. warning, then all your sites on that server may be hit also. Same with email accounts using the same server.

Combining sites to another account is not as simple as it sounds. It is a complex 19 step process that will involve removing the accounts from the server in order to add it back within the main account of choice. There will be downtime and potential data loss - ie emails will bounce during the downtime period. Of course, we can work with you to make the change at off-hours if possible.

It can take a few hours to complete. The cost to combine accounts is $25/site (which is much less than what it would cost under our Concierge service).
