How do I create a MySQL Database?

Chillidog Hosting supports the user of one of the most popular databases on the planet, MySQL. This is great for data-driven websites including Wordpress.

1. Log into your cPanel

To begin, log into your cPanel. When you signed up, your cPanel username and password was sent to you in your New Account Info email.

Can't find your New Account Info email? Let us know and we'll be happy to re-send it to you.

2. Click on MySQL® Database Wizard

We recommend using the MySQL Database Wizard which will guide you through the entire set up process.

5. Create a User

Databases require database-specific Usernames and Passwords. We recommend that you generate a random and unique Username and Password. This User will only be used to access data within the database.
