How do I secure my site via HTTPS and SSL?

We provide free SSL certificates for all domains (and sub-domains!) that we host. In order to provide a SSL certificate, there are two conditions that must be met:

  1. The domain must be added as an Addon domain in the cPanel

  2. The domain must point to Chillidog

If you'd like to force visitors to the secure version of your site, you'll need to add some code to your .htaccess file. Here are some suggestions (we suggest Method 3). If you're using RapidWeaver, we have a guide available.

SSL certificates can take 24-48hrs to install. You can manually request a SSL certificate by clicking the Run AutoSSL button via the SSL Status section of the cPanel.
