What are my email client settings?

Regardless of the email service you use, your username is always your full email address. For instance, if your email address is bob@example.com, the username you'd use in your email client or webmail must be bob@example.com. Simply using bob or leaving the field empty will not work.

cPanel email

All Chillidog Hosting accounts include cPanel email for no additional charge. This includes IMAP and POP access so you can access your email from anywhere on any device.

Some email clients will say that the username is Optional. A username and password are required. These fields are not optional and must be filled in for both Incoming and Outgoing email.

Incoming

When you host a website with Chillidog Hosting, we automatically provide a simple and convenient subdomain for you for your email needs. This subdomain can be used for both incoming and outgoing mail.

We do not recommend the Automatically manage connection settings in macOS Mail.app. We find that this feature can be unreliable. Often times, it will change your connection settings and disconnect your email client from the server. We recommend disabling this setting and setting ups your email accounts manually.
