How do I install WordPress?

We highly recommend using Softaculous to install and manage your WordPress installation.

Softaculous can automatically:

Install WordPress
Update WordPress
Backup WordPress
Migrate WordPress

When performing these actions, Softaculous runs these via a background process. Therefore, it is faster, more reliable than WordPress backup plugins. Softaculous also doesn't impact your website performance these plugins.

When installing WordPress via Softaculous, the default directory is wp. If you'd like to install WordPress on the root (/) of your domain, this directory should be empty. For example, if you would like WordPress on your site at example.com/wp, you'd specify the directory as wp. If you'd like WordPress installed at example.com, you'd leave the directory empty as shown below.
