How do I check external POP accounts in Gmail?

Buried within Gmail's settings, Gmail provides a method to download messages via POP. Previously, this was called Gmail Fetch. To download messages from an external or remote account into Gmail you must:

  1. Go into Gmail's settings to Accounts and Import

  2. Click Add a mail account

  3. Enter the full email address of the mailbox you'd like to import

  4. Specify that you'd like to download messages via POP

  5. Enter your remote POP server settings

    1. If you're using cPanel for email, the POP Server is mail.example.com (You must replace example.com with your actual domain!)

    2. If you're using Chillimail, the POP Server is chillimail.chillidoghosting.com

  6. Enter your mailbox username and associated password. Your mailbox username is your full email address! For example, bob@example.com
